Have you ever met someone and could just feel the love and passion for that which they do? I certainly did when I got the chance to meet with in person and talk to one of the creators of 3 Custom Color Specialists.

Meet Chad, one of the three specialists in the trio that makes up this line. I was invited to meet and talk to Chad, and I dragged along my #1 makeup assistant Lindsay along for the ride. And boy, what a ride it was.
As a retail expert with over 20 years in the beauty biz, Chad gave us the low down on the line.
It’s simple really.
All their colors are broken down into warm or cool. That’s it. A theory that I highly agree with. Because, makeup shouldn’t be anymore complicated than that. Not sure? Check out their super easy Warm vs. Cool section on their website. go.. look. I’ll wait.
Okay, you’re back? See? Wasn’t that simple? It’s really all about what color (warm or cool) just melts into your skin tone, … because that’s the one that will work.

Super Chad’s Super Makeup Tip #1:
Have brown eyes? use greens or teals to bring them out… afraid of too much color? Just use as eyeliner….
Cool Makeup Item:

A beeswax base makes this lip gloss so not sticky.Their #1 seller? Plum.
Elke’s Wish List:

Took everything I had not to grab and run out the studio with these….. Amazing colors in warm or cool that can take you from night to day, neutral to glam. Even better? Their Special Effects Palette that I got in the mail from them after…..a huge thank you….

This palette contains White, Black, Silver, White Frost, Opal Frost, Cool Gold, Warm Gold, Copper, Sheering Gloss and space for blending.
If you’re a makeup artist, you SOOO Need to get this. So that way you can become your own super color customizer specialist.
Lov red lips? You gotta get the Century in Red Lip palette. Why? It’s a collection of the most amazing Reds of our beauty eras, with a signature red color showcasing that particular decade all the way from the 1910’s to 2000.

Their newest item?
Their bridal collection.
Want Angelina Jolie’s lip color? They can make it. Have a fav lip color that got discontinued? They can match it.
Send them anything you’ve got left, and they’ll custom make it just for you. Their #1 order? Revlon’s Naked Pink Lipstick that got discontinued. A major fan ordered 200 of them….. just send in what you have left and they’ll custom make it, file it’s magic and secret color ingredients for you and send the original back. How about a custom eyebrow gel? Just send in a strand of your hair and they’ll custom match it. But their #1 request is lip color matching, with 90% of their orders being for just that.

Chad’s favorite part of the job?
Seeing what clients send in that they must have which views trends and texture as the years go by.
Cool Chad Cool Makeup Tip #2:
Test a lipstick color on your thumb, not the back of your hand. Your thumb more matches the texture of your lip so you can see what the color would look like on your lips, not your skin.
Want in? Get yourself your very own 1 1/2 hour private consultation at their lab/studio. You can book one yourself straight from their website if you’re in the NY area..

Thank you Chad for your so obvious love of what you do and sharing it with us. And for coming up with something as cool as this… As you know, we could all use a little more custom color in this world…
