The Body Shop recently held a super event, celebrating their 21 years of Community Trade Program. Just what is that you ask? It’s their program that uses at least one ingredient in their products that is made in another country to help build their economy. And an astonishing 60% of The Body Shop products use one such ingredient.

For example, newly added is the production of a high grade, cold pressed organic virgin coconut oil that is made in the Polynesian islands of Samoa in the South Pacific. This oil will be featured in The Body Shop Coconut Bath & Body Range line…. and our purchase of this helps provide an income and a lifestyle for themselves and their families….
But the fun part? Seeing their new Spring and Summer Makeup Collections.. finding a must have product and getting the chance to chat with The Body Shop Makeup Artist, Chad Aston.
My new must have:

Pink Grapefruit Body Butter
What everyone was whiffing, sniffing and going nuts over:

Moringa Body Lotion
What Elke’s going crazy over:

Shimmer Cubes Spring/Summer Collection
Seriously. I watched their makeup artist, dab, blend, smudge these colors onto different models and every time I was like, I WANT that. Eyes, cheeks,lips.. every feature got dabbed with this and it looked soo pretty. That ruby color? Gorgeous on lips. And the shimmer factor just killed me.
You gotta get:

Blushing Daisies
Beautiful shimmers that look soooo pretty. But forget the look. These compacts are so pretty, you’re going to want to frame them and keep them like this forever. Seriously. The Spring/Summer 2008 Makeup Collection is to die for.
But let’s get to the fun stuff.

Chase Aston, their international makeup artist agreed to let us pick his brain on beauty and makeup tips. And the beauty bloggers from The Beauty Blog Network got an exclusive… we could ask him any question we wanted. And we did.
My Question?
1. What is your most favorite makeup trick that you like to do?
I like to use self-tanners and bronzers to instantly illuminate the skin, and new formulas work faster to get skin shining. The Body Shop has some terrific gradual tanners coming out for the summer that are for the face and body.

Bronzing powders add a little radiance to your face by applying to the hollows of cheeks, along the hairline and down the bridge of your nose. Don’t stop there: Brush on the powder in circular strokes to the décolletage and legs for a rounded out look.
It is best to select a bronzer that’s two shades deeper than your skin tone to get the most natural look. I recommend The Body Shop Sun Lustre Bronzer, available in two great shades.
