I've used clarifying shampoos, baby shampoo, and several different types of soap. This sucks everything out of your brushes in a jiffy and leaves them smelling fresh. The tea tree version is known for it's antiseptic properties, and I love the way the almond makes my brushes smell. Every few washings, I condition with a spray on, leave in conditioner.
