And it seems so easy! Now I’m wishing I had my long hair back so I can try this one.

As seen on the style-making show “The City,” you can see both Olivia and Whitney with this type of style.

These easy-to-follow tips from stylist Ryan Nickulas of the Ryan Darius Salon in the West Village, NY lets us know how to create his “Patty Cake Curl.”
· Part hair in the middle or to either side.
· Take a small or large section of hair and wrap it around your finger in a circle to create a pin curl.
· Take a flat iron and close it around the curl. (Make sure that you remove your finger from the curl first!!)
· Press the iron closed for 15-20 seconds to create the perfect curl that a curling iron can’t achieve.
See? Easy!

I have tried so hard to achieve this look, but my hair naturally wants to do an Olsen twins (which can be great but sometimes want to be more tame). I try to use a curling iron randomly to make it Blake Lively-esque, but I'm always disappointed in my end result. I'll try this, but these directions aren't sounding like what I'm seeing in the pic. worth a shot! thanks! I just watched your youtube on eyebrow shaping, so I'm about to give it a go with you, my mirror, and my tweezers!!!
Try hairspray before you curl for a better curl. it sounds like to do a
pink curl, and then clamp the iron around that. No?
