There’s nothing I love more than hitting the drugstore and buying a whole bunch of makeup. Products that are cheap (compared to the average department store find) and more often than not, I go home and pray that something works. Because sadly, most of the time, it usually doesn’t. Color’s not right, doesn’t stay on, etc. Hard to really find great stuff in a drugstore… But just recently, the gods must have been smiling down on me. I found more than a few, that were, wait for it…. amazing!!!
First drugstore rave: Maybelline Lash Stiletto.
Never seen or even heard of this one.

Available in black or brown, this shiny black and red tube mascara has become my new everyday favorite. Why? The tiny comb works great in getting the mascara on with virtually no lumps or clumps in sight. And this mascara makes my lashes LONG. Super long. The more I brush, or the more coats I put on, the better they look.

Now if you’re looking for that false lash look, or super duper thick lashes, this isn’t it. This mascara just doesn’t make thin lashes super thick. And my thin lashes are ok, but thin and light in color, but when I put this on, it makes my lashes just jump out.
Another great point? This mascara has virtually no feel to it whatsoever. My sensitive eyes love nothing more than to bug me with the feel of a mascara… thick, heavy, drying. And I spend many a day waiting till I can get home to get the latest mascara OFF. And in bad cases, my eyes are dried out too. Not this one. My eyes are great all day and all night long. No feel. Nothing.
Super great plus #2. Easy to get off. Doesn’t burn my eyes, comes off cleanly and easily.
Makeup Trick: If i want super lashes, I add Mac’s Fiber Lash (great one for lash thickness). after a coat of the Maybelline Stiletto for a great fake lash look.
Lov love luv
