What a great headline no? Well, I borrowed it from, Fitness Magazine. What does Fitness Magazine have to do with beauty? Well, usually not much, but one of their articles got me thinking. The article? Called “Get a Grip”. As in get a grip on your life. Take control of the issues that are bugging you and just do it! Like, health, fitness, money, love, etc…. And in the article was a small section called “7 Take Control Tactics.” Things you can do RIGHT NOW that are easy and get you going in the right frame of mind.
Take Control #1
The first one? “Focus on Your Attributes“. Hear hear! With so much negativity in this world lately, with the economy and people losing jobs, homes, faith, the article suggests to get over it and write 25 things that you like about yourself and stick it on your frig, your bathroom mirror, or anywhere you’ll see it everyday. Focus on the good, not the bad. I like that!

So with all the ways society puts us down, (you’re not thin enough, famous enough, pretty enough etc.) why not focus on the 25 things you like about yourself beauty wise? 25 too much? Okay, make it 5. Point is to just write it down and focus on it… what do you truly like about your looks?

2. my hair cut ![]()
3. my eyebrows
4. my nails (finally!)
5. my smile
Key? put it where you can see it everyday, on your makeup mirror, your vanity, your makeup table. It’s for you and you alone. Now everyday, do something beauty wise to play up that trait that you like about yourself. Other’s don’t like it? Tough. This is for you.
Me? Well, tomorrow I plan to get out some eye shadows and find some new ways to play up those eyes of mine.
