With Earth Day taking on more meaning than ever this year (think green, think global, think local!), The ION Salon in NYC is taking it even one step further. They celebrate Earth Day all year round. How? By incorporating earth friendly practices such as running on wind powered energy, using eco-friendly products, and yes, even the hair is recycled!
Marco Santini, the Founder of ION Salon, states, “beyond the beauty of our clients, we want to ensure that the Earth we have to look forward is in the best shape possible. By using eco-friendly products and supplies, we can do our part in ensuring we keep our Planet clean, safe and beautiful.”
ION completely represents a “green” oasis – 85% of this salon was created by using green or recycled materials.
The highlights of the salon? The rocking chairs and sinks where clients can experience a floating, serene sensation while having their scalp and hair massaged and mirrors previously placed in the bathrooms are now used as mirrors in a fitting room where clients can see their new cuts from every angle.
