Okay, seriously. If I were to ever loose this brush, i would cry. NO, I would curl up and die. Seriously. Cry forever and I would never ever do another photo shoot again until I could hunt one down and have it a part of my crazy makeup brush collection again. This brush, is my #1 fav, can’t live without it, gotta have it brush.
Okay, I know, I’m gushing. But I could not work without it. It just makes me (ok, my work) look so gosh darn good. What is it? it’s the bristles and the cut. I even have one that the bamboo handle is coming apart, but I don’t care. It’s duct taped horribly so I can use it. But I don’t care.
This blush brush takes any crazy, neon, too bright, too dark, can’t possibly wear this blush color and makes it totally beautiful. It softens any color I pick up with it and it applies and buffs the color on at the same time, for a virtual airbrushed look. Makes powder blush just float on. No hard edges, no streaks. Nothing. And the size of the blush brush is absolutely perfect, it fits the apple of the cheek. Big pet peeve of mine are brushes that are cut just way too big. And mistakes are just waiting to happen, but it’s not you. It’s your brush.
It’s great for shimmers, bronzers, blushes…. anything that you want to apply with a softer feel, and an airbrushed look. Have this brush? Here you go. Done.
PERSONAL:
I personally like the blush brushes that are cut at an angle and can be used for bronzers, blush and contour. All in one brush.
Most blush brushes are cut like this:

Bristles are too long, edge too flat, too straight, cut too thin. It just doesn’t work.
Here’s a blush brush, that seriously I just have to get. It’s everything I’m looking for in one:

Sephora Professionnel Platinum Blush Brush #49
Sephora’s Brand, and only $35.
The bristles are short enough, you have your angle and your cut. And your goat hair (remember, airbrush…..) Trick with this brush is that you’ll want to use the sides of the brush, but no, use the tips, and hold the brush so the tips are up and down (vertical) on your face… then sweep back and forth for blush application.
Want to do contouring? Hold the brush tips horizontally and sweep under your cheekbones. You’ll get a smaller area and the same effect.
Tricks before you buy a makeup brush:
Trick #1.
Flip the bristles in your hand back and forth. Any flyaway hairs anywhere? Don’t bother buying. it’ll fall apart on you after a few cleanings.
Trick #2.
Run the brush across your wrist. How does it feel? Baby soft? Your face will love it. Stiff and crinkly? Your skin will think it’s taking a beating.
Trick #3.
Does the hair on the brush look super super shiny? Most likely it’s synthetic hair. Good point: will last forever. Bad point: bristles will get harder and harder with use, not softer. Trust me, not worth it.
