L’Oreal’s H.I.P. Cream Eyeliner

If you are a fan of Cream Eyeliners, but just can’;t afford the price for a little pot? And of course, I know you.The budget part of you keeps thinking, heck, a regular black eye pencil will do anyway.

Well, don’;t worry. I just got to try, brand new from Loreal, H.I.P’;s Cream Eyeliner. Wow. Love.It works!!! No flaking, no smearing and dries so fast, you don’;t know what hit you. Now, don’;t get me wrong. I’;ve worked with other, ahem, more expensive cream liners that just didn’;t. Smears after you’;ve applied it, gets on your eyelids, under your eyes.. it’;s just not pretty. So I’;ve been somewhat leary of using them.

I so thank Loreal for sending me this.
This little pot is a cream, and yes, I know you’;re thinking, Elke, it’;s a cream. But Loreal even has the perfect little brush that, yes it works! perfect with this. Finally a little brush with a product that works and isn’;t wimpy. It’;s a little short, small angle brush, that you just dip into the cream (a little is all you need) and apply as eyeliner (the rage? Just top lashes for Fall’;s newest look) and line across.Need more? Just add on more.It dries so fast that you feel like you’;re putting on eye shadow. And it’;s very easy to add on and build up if needed. And it stayed on forever.Ten hours later, after a long day at the salon, it was still on. With no flaking, creasing or peeling off. Also, keep the small plastic cap that comes with the brush. It’;s perfect to slip over the top of the brush to keep any excess liner from smearing all over your makeup bag.

Just where have i been?I wish all cream liners worked like this.

PS This is so new, that I couldn’;t even find it on their website; But you can find it at K-Mart, Rite Aid, Walmart, Target, Albertsons, Longs.

  1. The L'Oreal Hip Cream liner has actually been out for a few years now. I tried it but unfortunately in the colors I tried (the black and the midnight blue) it would always smudge on me. (I seem to have oily eyelids, unfortunately, though TFSI has really helped)

The alternative I've found is indelible gel eyeliner, which you can get from several online e-tailers, usually for around $7 (beautifulgirlminerals.com is one of the places you can get it from).

  2. Bonjour! I just purchased this today and will be giving it a whirl. As far as cream liners, the best one I have found is the Jet Set by Smashbox. It is gel based and stays on all day. You can even use it to line your upper and lower inner eyelids for an intense smoky eye or added definition.
Decorative Diva, I have the same problem with oily lids. You should invest in a good eye shadow primer. Too Faced and BeneFit have excellent ones. Muah! (Insert kiss noise)

  3. Hi, I actually use Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
These cream liners just don't hold up the way MAC Fluidlines or the indelible gel eyeliners do.
