Hello. Feel free to subscribe to my
BLOG. Thanks for visiting!
David Klasfeld (who’s also the Founder of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics) shares his top pro makeup tricks of the trade… such as..

1. Always start with a clean face.
2. Do not assume that the clients face is clean when they sit in your chair.
3. Aside from asking the client about their skin, it is important to look for clues, such as
redness=sensitivity,
flakiness=dryness,
shine=oily skin.
4. David uses Embriolisse or Cetaphil to moisturize the skin. He applies the moisturizer to a sponge to avoid over moisturizing.
5. On mature skin, in order to prevent lipstick bleeding into the skin, make sure to moisturize the area above and below the lip.
6. He uses Blistex to prep the lips, and MAC Fast Response eye cream around the eyes, and on top of the eyelid.

7. He recommends letting the moisturizer soak in for a few minutes. After moisturizer, he applies his water-based primer with a synthetic brush. He states that primer keeps the skin texture smoother than skin on it’s own.
8. He begins his application with the Eve Pearl trio concealer. He applies the concealer from below the eye right up into the lower lash line. He extends concealer into the eye and also applies on the eyelid.

9. For mature skin, David prefers to use Make-Up Forever Face & Body Foundation (provides sheer to medium coverage.) He recommends purchasing #2, #16, and #18. These three colors can be mixed to match almost all skin colors. David’s model had quite a bit of pink in her skin, so he choses a yellow-based foundation to neutralize her skin.
