5 Minute Summer Makeup: Step 5
UncategorizedAugust 17, 2009 0
Keep that gorgeous summer makeup on all day.. and the easiest product to pack on and keep on is your eye makeup.
For example, on eyes, apply your eye shadow on wet.  With toner that’s alcohol free or an Eyeliner Sealer, apply with a sponge applicator or a eyeshadow brush and brush on a light layer of toner across the eyelid or in the crease. Trick is to mist the eye shadow, not drench it. Or dampen the applicator/brush first and then pick up your color. That way, you avoid drenching the product and possibly even ruining it. You’ll pick up the right amount of color….then apply….
Next, grab that black eye pencil. We’re talking night here and rim the eyes both top and bottom. Smudge. Best bets for pencils? Try the gel, waterproof brands that really do stay on all day. Like Clarin’s Waterproof Eye Pencils. Apply and you don’t have to worry all day.
Then, the lashes. Waterproof of course.
The trick is to find a waterproof mascara that doesn’t go on and feel like tar when it’s on your lashes. And get that heavy duty mascara remover out.. you’ll need it. My fav is the Maybelline Lash Stylist in both waterproof and regular version. Sad part is the waterproof really is like tar, but gosh it makes my lashes look great. I only use it on those glam moments, but it’s addicting.
What’s your favorite waterproof mascara?
