PRO: Powder
Allison Raffael Loose Clear Powder

Awesome stuff. Which reminds me. I gotta buy some more. This clear powder (dont let the white color fool you, it goes on absolutely clear) works on any skin color, light or dark. Dust on, and you’re set. This powder replaced about 6 different ones that I used to have in my kit. No more. Don’t need it. Because I’d rather have skin look like foundation perfect skin, not chaulky, grayish, powdered skin, I find this works even better than Mac’s Blotting Powder, which sometimes, can leave a bit of a gray cast to the skin in photos. And trend wise, I’m powdering less and less nowadays.
PERSONAL:
Hmmm, how about none? Seriously. Well, if I really need to, a touch of the Bare Minerals. Just a touch. That’s it. I find powder to be the most aging product women can wear now. Powder is only really needed when you have a lot of base (and also a lot of waxes and oils) on the skin, and powder is needed to ‘set’ (as in don’t move!) so you can continue the rest of your makeup. If you find yourself having to pack on the powder, maybe you really need another type of foundation. My fav photo trick is to apply liquid foundation and then press with a kleenex over the whole face. And leave it at that. No powder needed. You’ll find yourself with skin that looks like skin but better. Your primers and/or moisturizers sometimes do a better job at keeping foundation on than your powder does. But trends change, looks change. Powder will be back.
