REVIEW: L’Oreal Telescopic Explosion

A breakthrough mascara it says on the packaging. And if you’re looking at the cute little bally thing on the end of the mascara that is supposed to be the wand part, well, then you’ve got my attention. But cuteness and packaging is only part of a great ‘breakthrough’ product. So let’s see if this thing actually works, shall we?

So, the color is inky black. Brownie points there. And the little ball wand does take a bit getting used to, but gosh darn it, am I shocked that it isn’t going on clumpy and all. Swipe, swipe, brush brush. And it makes lashes long, jet black and thicker… but it does take f o r e v e r to put on. To go across the whole lash, just takes time. Also, 2 coats is all this mascara can take, and it does get clumpy looking on, and 3 coats is way to much. But afterwards, i felt like my lashes had feathers on it… long sweepy feather lashes… Towards the end of the day, my normally thin lashes felt heavy and I couldn’t wait to do the peel off routine to get the mascara off (as in peel if off with my fingers..) but removing with eye makeup remover was a cinch.

So would I use again? Well, yes and no. I would use again, but apply a regular mascara first, and then apply this one on the outer corners only or where I want more length and definition on my lashes for a more of a ‘spot’ application.

Hint: how about making a wand that’s regular along the length, and then a ball tip for easier application? Like two in one? That way it would take less time to apply and you can get both effects. Just an idea… ;)
