Usually the boxes that house your fav makeup goodies are usually tossed into the trash, because the find of the buy is the makeup inside. But in this case, I’d say don’t toss, keep.
Lancome showcases their exclusive limited edition boxes, designed by Canadian artist Raphael Mazzucco for it’s Winter Makeup Collection called gold Fascination. And lucky Canada is the only one who is able to get. Inspired by Canada’s top female athletes, here, it’s all about the quest for gold.
How did these gorgeous packages come to be? “We would photograph the girl, and print it out and manipulate it – almost painting and illustrating into the print – and then going back and re-photographing that and making another print. We were actually doing things with our fingers and painting with our hands, using the Lancôme make-up,” says Raphael.
Raphael hopes that when people see the boxes displayed on the shelves, they will feel inspired by them and think of thoughts they never thought of. “Each box is a beautiful item in itself,” he says. “It is like a precious object you want to keep.”
