So here is another duo mascara product, with a 2 step process, or two wands of mascara to apply, instead of the normal one. I’m used to seeing these as a primer and mascara combo (of which I’ve never really been too impressed) and let’s just say Elke’s been a tad busy lately, so upon seeing this, I thought it was a 1 side lengthening, 1 side volume mascara. As in, one wand gives you a length, and the other gives you a thickening effect. This one, is the newest Maybelline XXL Pro 24 HR Bold Mascara.
Okay, I goofed. As in didn’t quite read the directions. So here I am trying to apply this and one side goes one great, and the other, well, leaves a big question mark as in it doesn’t seem to be doing anything. Huh?
Okay, read the package Elke. What this really is is a 2 step waterproof mascara. Step One gives you a very thickening mascara, while the Step Two seals it and makes it waterproof. Great idea, huh!
So, cool factor is Step One. Brushes one great and the consistency is like a gel. It’s not watery, not thick, and certainly not clumpy. After 2/3 coats, it brushes and applies on fantastic. And lashes get thick and long at the same time. So far, loving the look.
Step Two then seals the whole look with a black, though pretty much non-seeable coat that makes if into a 24 hour wear mascara.
Bonus points is the non-feel aspect of the mascara, and it washes off with no problems. I also don’t get the crunchy after effects and drying out syndrome that makes me want to pull my lashes out either.
Looking for a new waterproof mascara that doesn’t FEEL that way? Try this one. You just might be really pleased with it.
