Makeup trends come and go, and while something may be in, in, in one moment, all of a sudden a few years later, it’ll be out, out, out.
Lately I’ve noticed 2 trends that whenever I see it on someone, it immediately looks outdated and old.
Trend 1: Super thin eyebrows.I so remember when Madonna took almost all her eyebrows off (during her Vogue days..) and of course, I did too. But now? Whoa. Looks like we’re back in the early 90′s again.
Trend 2: Super glossy lips.I remember when glossy lips tried to make a scene, and it took me awhile to get used to it, but once I got hooked, I got hooked. I think lip gloss is my number #1 purchase, regardless, but see a super shiny glossy lip on someone now and it’s soooo done. But sigh, this is one trend I’m kinda sad to see go.
So in the spirit of makeup gone bad, I asked fellow twitters and facebook fans to post their big makeup pet peeves. And if it’s something you’re doing? Well, you may want an update… sometime soon. Don’t worry, we’ll wait. Because an updated makeover always looks better….. it’s a good thing.

(1) hairy, unkempt eyebrows
(2) unblended eyeshadow
(3) harsh eyeliner on the bottom lashes
(4) stark white eyeshadow on the browbone for a hilite…use something flesh colored!
(5) not washing makeup from the night before and just adding to it the next day
(6) rough lip
(7) heavily acned and oily skin with a ton of makeup packed on
(8) eyelashes that stick striaght up instead of having a slight curl
(9) matching ur eyeshadow to the color of your sweater

Pencils that disappear after two sharpenings; felt-tip and creme eyeliners that dry up almost immediately. jar foundations (unhygienic); polishes that get gloppy or separate within days; mascara that smears; leads that fall out of automatic pencils. Any “longlasting” product that doesn’t.

A eyeliner that won’t stay on the water line and makes my eyes water. Tarte has one made for the water line. OMG.. my eyes never stopped watering and itching!
