Always on a look out for a shampoo/conditioner set that won’t ruin my brazilian blow out + colored + highlighted summer hair, ARROJO stepped up to the plate and sent their latest my way. ARROJO’s brand new Gentle Shampoo and Conditioner. Sulfate and sodium-chloride free, this sounded like the perfect treat for my straightened, color treated hair and of course, my newly highlghted strands that were in need of a little TLC.
So try I did. What I loved about the shampoo was that while it didn’t lather up a heck of a lot, it did just enough to get my hair super super clean. The few suds really was no problem, and the scent was soft and natural. Not heavily perfumed and fake. Next came the conditioner. Super light weight and I knew it wouldn’t weight down my fine hair. But next came the real test. After falling asleep with damp hair (a rare treat that my brazilian treated locks now lets me do… ) I woke up the next a.m. with, dare I say it: amazing hair. My hair felt super super clean, but not stripped or dry. Hair felt light as air, locks were straight and conditioner literally felt like I didn’t apply anything, but the soft shine proved me wrong.
Even better? My newly added highlights didn’t change color one bit. Same color, no lightening and just amazing clean hair. I think my search is over. By far the best shampoo/conditioner duo I’ve tried in a long time that not only saved my locks, but made me look damn good in the process.
