Melissa of The Makeup Divas Beauty Blog gives us her tip on how to save money on brushes: To save some money, try purchasing art store brushes instead of high end ones.
We personally recommend to go for:
Goat Hair Brushes for powder, bronzer, highlight and blush.
Flat Brushes work in a pinch for concealer or foundation, though be aware of streaking… the softer the hair, the better.
Flat goat hair brushes are super soft and give a great soft look to blush. Try to find a round size if possible, but if not, the flat brushes work in a pinch for blush and powder. Just note your colors will go on softer. (Tip: use to apply your super brights for a soft, water colored pastel version.)
Thin and fine pointed water color and calligraphy brushes make great eye liner brushes.
Fan brushes based on size, work as mascara brushes, and also great for applying bronzer and highlight.
Unless otherwise specified, a product review is based on a product sent by a representative of the company.
