To be honest, Alterna Hair Care is a line that I’ve heard of, but never had the chance to try…. so when PR offered to send me their latest to help with my dry & colored & brazilian straightened hair, I jumped at the chance.
So off to try their Anti-Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner. Needless to say I’ve tried several anti- this and that with zzzz results that really didn’t do much so my hopes were not at a high point to say the least. And with my hair at the end of it’s straightening days (brazilian has pretty much faded/grown out, and the winter cold in NYC is doing it’s thing to my hair.. dry, coarse ends… and no shine in sight..) I really felt I needed a major hair intervention.
Wow. Can I say that again? Wow! Now to be honest, I really can’t say WHAT caused my hair to go from dry, to super shiny, sleek and straight in one shot. Was it the Bamboo Smooth Anti-Frizz Shampoo? The Anti-Frizz Conditioner? Or was it the (and I was the most excited to try this) the 3 Minute Shine Boost to ‘recharge shine & color’?
How about all three? The anti-frizz has kendi oil to keep cuticles sealed and smooth and get hair shiny, while the 3 Minute Shine Boost (apply to damp hair after shampoo/conditioner, leave on for 3-5 minutes, and rinse out.. can be used 1-2 times per week) got my hair super sleek.
Hair is super shiny, super smooth and literally straight again with virtually no styling effort on my part at all. My hair literally air dried stick straight. (My hair tends to be straight from roots to half way down, where it likes to get wavy on me.. it’s two hair types in one!) So thank you Alterna! Let’s just say I’m in love with my hair again!
