Get Gorgeous Without Trashing Your Skin – or the Planet

Makeup artist and Green Beauty Expert Kristen Arnett is now sharing her advice on her new website, Kristen created Green Beauty Team to help women, men, children and aspiring Green makeup artists to make safer, healthier choices. The site offers essential information and advice on techniques and non-toxic, effective products from experts in every field of beauty and personal care. From using baking soda as a facial scrub, to helping a “glam girl” go “green” without sacrificing high style, the site offers straightforward tips, without the bias towards a particular line of products.

“When people find out that I specialize in green makeup and beauty techniques, they have so many questions and an almost insatiable desire to learn more,” says Kristen Arnett, founder and editor in chief of Green Beauty Team. “Most people aren’t even aware that their favorite moisturizer could be wrecking their skin and the planet at the same time.”

Kristen Arnett is known worldwide for her skill at enhancing beauty without the need for harsh or harmful chemicals. She has appeared on TV talk shows, works on runway shows in New York, Milan and Paris, writes beauty articles for several publications, and is in demand as a makeup artist for print advertising for industry giants like Xerox, Nike, and Qwest, magazine shoots for Vogue Accessories, GQ Italia, and Men’s Fitness, plus celebrity clients such as Jude Law, Laura Linney and Sean Hayes.

“There’s so much misleading information about cosmetics out there and it’s overwhelming for the consumer to sift through,” says Ms. Arnett. “So I wanted to put all of my research in one easy-to-access place, where I could add articles and videos about the latest techniques, treatments and products. Because I work with a wide variety of products every day on hundreds of different faces and complexions, I can tell what works and what doesn’t, and I plan telling it like it is!”
