Ever come across a product that for whatever reason, just does not work? Here are 3 recently tested items that I just don’t understand how they got past their researchers. Because try as i might, they just don’t work.
Rodan Fields Essentials Foaming Sunless Tan
Sounds great. Sunless tanning.. instant. Foamless. Sounds goof proof. But it really isn’t. While the foam comes out fluffy and soft, within seconds it turns into literally liquid water that falls between my fingers. I try to apply but it instead flies past me onto my bathroom walls. Then once I’ve mananged to get it on, it instantly disappears and vaporizes so that I can’t even tell where I’m putting it on, or even how much. Is it even? Will it streak? While it did literally dry instantly, I really don’t know what I’m going to get. The next morning, I wake up to a half hazard tan look with tan here and pale there. The idea sounds great, but the product needs more substance to even get it on right. FAIL
ELF Eye Makeup Remover Pads
I’m all for quick and easy and a eye makeup remover in a pad sounds like a quick fix. And for only $1? Even better. But here, the amount of remover is so minimal that I’m needing 2/3 pads to even get the job done. What’s even worse is the flimsiness of the actual cotton pad. So thin and cheap that it flops all over as I work it across my eye lids. And still, removes poorly so much so, I gave up and just washed my face. Into the trashcan it went. FAIL
Murad Eye LIft Illumizer
Oh, this one I had such high hopes for. Says all the right words. Lift, illuminizer, even a purple tint that promises to soften dark circles. Well it’s purple all right. But it’s so light that I don’t even see a trace of purple or lilac or whatever this color is supposed to be going on. Nothing. And there is no lift, or illumizing whatsover. So much so that they might as well just call this an undereye brush on cream. Cause that’s really all it is. I’ll pass. FAIL
