INSPIRATION/THEME:
The makeup look was inspired by the Spring 2012 United Bamboo Collection and can be described as “polished” and “lady-like.”
FACE
Description:
- “Moisturized, Clean and Natural”
- Dick applied a wash of foundation on freshly moisturized skin to even the skin tone and cover up any redness or blemishes.
- Next, Dick applied a light dusting of Shiseido Makeup Translucent Loose Powder to leave the skin with a velvety finish.
- Please note that no under concealer or cheek color was used for the show.
EYES
Description:
- Dick and his team made sure to use fluff brushes when doing the eye detail/application to ensure a well-diffused and blended look.
- To start, Dick applied a trace of translucent powder along upper lids.
- Taking a fluff brush, he applied Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Patina (GR707) from the lash line to the crease, going slightly beyond the crease (it was key to really make sure to get the color into the lash line).
- Next, Dick wiped off excess color from the brush onto a tissue, then blended and diffused the color towards the brow.
- Using a smaller fluff brush, Dick again applied the Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Patina (GR707) along the lower lash line, making sure to blend and diffuse the shadow to avoid any harsh lines.
- Dick applied the Shiseido Accentuating Cream Eyeliner in Black (#1) along the upper lash line, focusing the weight of the liner at the end of the eye.
- Taking a fluff brush, Dick applied the Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Caviar (BK912) over the cream liner and blended upwards into the crease to create a slight “banana shape.” Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Caviar (BK912)is blended together with Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Patina (GR707). However, there is absolutely no “wing” created in this look.
- Dick then took a bit more of the Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Patina (GR707) to blend out the Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Caviar (BK912)making sure to not go too far into the lash line.
- Dick then applied the Shiseido Accentuating Cream Eyeliner in Black (#1) again over the Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Caviar (BK912) to create more density around the lashes.
- The Shiseido Smoothing Eyeliner Pencil in Black Sands (BK904) was then appliedinto the lower water line of the eye and along the inner eye. *Please note that the Shiseido Smoothing Eyeliner Pencil in Black Sands (BK904) was a limited edition item that is no longer available. A similar look can be achieved by blending together the Shiseido Smoothing Eyeliner Pencil in Black (BK901) with the Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Patina (GR707).
- Next, the Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Patina was blended over the liner in the lower lash line, while being mindful to not lose the weight of the liner in the water line
- To finish the eye look, Dick applied two coats of the Shiseido Perfect Mascara Full Definition Mascara in Black (BK901) to the upper lashes only to create an almost wet-lash effect.
LIPS
Description:
- Using a fluff brush, Dick applied the Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick in Tawny (BR735) to the lip area. To ensure a softeffect, the lip color was diffused using fingertips to create an almost “nothing” lip tone.
- Dick used a smaller fluff brush to apply the Shiseido Luminizing Satin Face Color in Soft Beam Gold (BE206) to the outer line of the lip to create a halo of beige shimmer.
- To finish the look, Dick dabbed a bit more of the Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick in Tawny (BR735) to the inner lower lip only.
