The holiday season is all about food, family, friends and festivities. Add on festive holiday hair, makeup and stylish clothes. But what bout our smile? Or teeth for that matter? Dr. Pankaj Singh, Founder & C.E.O of Arch Dental (@pankajsinghdds) shares some great holiday dental tips to keep those teeth looking pearly white and at their best.
Holiday Dental Tips:
- Try to avoid anything that will stain the teeth – red wine, red sauces, etc. Obviously if you are going to holiday party and that is what they are serving you can’t avoid it so what can you do? Excuse yourself and go into the bathroom and rinse your mouth with water.
- If you need to indulge in the holiday candy choose chocolate over hard candies like candy canes.
- If your hosting a party or if it is offered at a party – finish your meal with a cheese – in Europe they serve cheese with dessert because it is a bacteria buffer.
- All for portable teeth cleaning devices – portable toothbrushes, whisps, floss, etc. anything that encourages people to clean their teeth.
