NYFW: A New Ponytail Look For Marc Jacobs

  • Sharebar

Redken Creative Consultant Guido created another ponytail last night at the Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 show, but this one was much more polished, refined and “school girl” than the edgy, messy ponytail he created earlier in the day at Diesel. A few of the models wore military-inspired hats, and this style worked both with and without the hat. Overall the tight, clean hairstyle was the perfect complement to the bell-shaped silhouette that was a constant theme in most looks from the show.

“The clothes at the Marc by Marc Jacobs collection today have a lot of volume, so we wanted to create a small head to compliment the clothing. The hair itself is a nod to minimalism, very clean, fresh and young.”
–Guido, Redken Creative Consultant
