I remember when the ‘tadpole’ eyebrow was considered the do not do eyebrow to have. Remember this?

Tadpole eyebrows are when it’s thick in the front of the brow, then it immediately goes to thin, all the way up to the end of the brow. Here, the balance is off, and makes the person look like they’re knitting their brows together when they’re not. Also, for the balance of the brow, your eye has a hard time getting past the front of the brow, so you end up focusing just there instead of the line and arch leading to the eyes. Like I always say, great eyebrows are supposed to make people look at your eyes, not your eyebrows.
Well, it’s changed. The do no do eyebrow shape of this century? It’s the too far out arch.
The biggest brow mistake I’ve been seeing lately is the wrong placement of the arch. And the arch is THE most important part of the brow because it’s the part that leads the eye to your eye when someone looks at you.

Right

Wrong
If the arch is too far out, it can actually make the eyes look too close together, and even cross eyed. Especially in photos.
See?

Look closely. The arch being so far out actually makes the eyes look closer together, and not wide set and you find yourself looking at either the model’s nose, or forehead, not her eyes.
The key focus in eyebrows, is to make people look at your eyes…… How to fix? This part is tricky. II’s best to have a specialist do this for you if you’re not sure as tweezing too much can create holes and a lopsided brow.

Elke- you do phenomenal arching work! I really enjoyed myself at Alba’s Diva Event. Please reach out to me and let’s connect on the blogging we discussed.
