The no Eyebrows Trend

The light or no eyebrow trend that was seen on the European runways (but not so much on the NYC runways) has finally hit the magazine stands in the latest ad from Givency for Fall 2009. Adriana Lima is the brunette model shown with brows covered in white for a very dramatic look. But is this something that you should do at home?
Probably not. Just chalk this up to an extreme trend like black lips. It’s not meant for everyone and while it does show a new look in beauty, just remember that trends that come on quick, usually go away just as fast.
Stick to the classic brow shape and what works best for you. You’ll always look in style.
MY PINK PRODUCT: Bon Appetit HiLight Shadow
I have not been personally affected with Breast Cancer, but cancer has definitely touched my life. My mom when I was in high school, had uterine cancer. My best friend in college had cancer. My father recently had skin cancer, and I myself had cervical cancer. Luckily my family and I are all fine, happy and healthy. My best friend though, lost her life after only 3 months and I will never forget her.
Cheryl was a fashion designer who was just on the verge of making it big. She had just opened her own designer showroom, had stores clammering for her designs and was on the verge of something big. I met Cheryl on a photo shoot where her clothes were being used, and an instant friendship was born. On the day of shooting her publicity photo where I did her makeup, she told me that a suspicious mole on her leg, had turned on out to be cancer. And the procedure of doing the biopsy had somehow caused the cancer to get into her blood. They gave her 3 years to live. She was gone in 3 months.
So don’t just live.
Be aware.
Get tested, get screened.
Get healthy, stay healthy.
Because life is just way too short.
So for her and for everyone fighting, living and touched by cancer, I’m honored to be able to offer my very own Pink Product during this very important month of Breast Cancer Awareness.
Bon Appetit is a soft pink highlight shadow with soft flecks of gold, and it’s a limited edition only product. Available only for this month of October, 20% of all sales of Bon Appetit will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Fund.
Bon Appetit
A soft pink highlight with gold shimmer.
