brow shape
Brow Tip #6 Find a new brow shape.
6. Use a white pencil to see if a new brow shape works.

Tempted to try a new brow shape? A higher arch? Take a white eyeliner pencil and draw away the brow hairs that you think you would tweeze. This makes your new brow shape much easier to see and adjust before you tweeze.
TIP: Tweeze the hairs where the ‘root’ is where the white pencil is. You’ll find it much easier to create a line and create a new shape.
Brow Tip #5 Tweezing above the brow. Yes or no?
5. Yes you can tweeze above the brow.

My rule of thumb: If the hair is not touching the brow in any way, there’s no way you can mess up the brow shape. Simple as that. You’re actually tweezing hairs from the forehead and temple, not the brow. But once you actually next to the brow, that’s another story. Taking too much off the top of the brow can result in holes and uneven brows, making 1 brow seem higher than the other. So leave the actual shaping to your brow specialist. But cleaning up between visits for the strays is fine, as long as the hair is not touching the brow.
Brow Tip #1 Keep the shape you have.
Over the years, I get a lot of questions about just how to have and maintain the best brows possible. Over the next few weeks, I’ll share with you the tips and tricks I’ve shared with clients along the way….
Elke’s Top 10 Brow Tips
1. Go with the eyebrow shape that you have.

Most people try to severely alter the shape of their eyebrows (as in very thick to very thin, or a high arch on a brow that just doesn’t have one), which sadly, leads to a brow that’s way too thin, and much too hard to maintain.
Here you can see the shape of the brow has gotten too round, too curved and too thin. It’s best is to work with the brow shape you already have and just maintain a better version of it.
The no Eyebrows Trend

The light or no eyebrow trend that was seen on the European runways (but not so much on the NYC runways) has finally hit the magazine stands in the latest ad from Givency for Fall 2009. Adriana Lima is the brunette model shown with brows covered in white for a very dramatic look. But is this something that you should do at home?
Probably not. Just chalk this up to an extreme trend like black lips. It’s not meant for everyone and while it does show a new look in beauty, just remember that trends that come on quick, usually go away just as fast.
Stick to the classic brow shape and what works best for you. You’ll always look in style.

Elke’s Model Brow service offers a highly customized, no stencil approach to getting the perfect brow shape for your face and bone structure. A complete analysis starts the 30 minute procedure, where you can get your brows either waxed, or tweezed, as per client request. The service is then completed with brow makeup and tips and tricks to get your brows looking model perfect. Also, the normal 30 day waiting period is not needed to get your brows on the right track. Two weeks is all that’s needed to start getting your brows back on track and corrected, since Elke’s speciality is reshaping and fixing botched up eyebrow jobs; usually in one visit.
