How to Avoid Breakouts After Waxing/Tweezing.

Have you ever broken out after waxing and wondered why? Clients usually think that they’re allergic to wax (which rarely happens, but if that was the case the reaction would be immediate), or that it is the wax that is causing the breakouts.

Well, not really.

What causes breakouts after waxing is the oils that are needed to get any excess wax off the skin. The oils go into the pores and viola, a breakout two to three days later. Heavy moisturizers or foundations applied after tweezing can also cause the breakouts as well.

To remedy, use a wax that is water soluble (I use my favorite honey wax which comes off with water, no oils needed) and is easily removed to prevent those little red bumps from happening.
